Sump Guard Fitting

Recommended Posts

I am fitting a OMP sump guard to my 205, has anyone fitted one before who can provide me pictures of where the front and rear mountings go? :D

Also I am fitting a bucket seat with its own mountings, before I spend ages trying (i have tried to use the search function - but its not working  ) are there any pics people could post or web sites that show the brackets?

Cheers

Never seen an OMP sump guard but presume they are the same mountings as the PTS type.

On mine I welded 3mm steel plates over the largish holes in the shell, at the front that are found at each side of the radiator (obvious when you look under the car). Drilled the plates for the bolts that hold the front mounting bar.

At the rear I welded 2 bolts to the subframe to match the holes that were predrilled in the guard. A word of warning, if you have put the guard on because you are going to be attacking some rough stuff, ensure that the front mounting bar is up to the job. A bit of angle iron is not strong enough. The PTS front mounting bar is a very strong steel bar.

For the seats I am not sure what you are asking ? Are they side mounted ? If yes you are are better cutting out the std seat mounting points, welding in 2 seat bars and then buying the proper seat mounts. The positioning is all down to personal set up preferences.
