Guest jarjar Posted September 24, 2007 hi folks just wondered if anyone can help me out ?, i have an 89 205 gti thats completely standard and the engine packed up the other night , ihad it recovered home and the rac chap tells me that i have a spark and fuel to the injection rail but there is no injection pulse ! ive checked everything i can think of but to no avail any ideas ?! i live in mackworth derby is there anyone local who point me in the right direction if i cant sort it ? cheers simon Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

ORB 227 1 Cars Posted September 28, 2007 Take off the fuel rail, but keep it all plumbed up. Turn the car over and see if the injectors are working? If not, check the Tachy Relay in the dash (near the ECU) and check for excessive clicking from the green relay near the header tank (mine went and would not start) Also, take the brown multi plug that lies on the top of the gearbox hard up to the engine, pull the two parts of the plug to bits, and squirt it with contact cleaner, carb cleaner or WD40 (anything does the trick) and then put it back together. Guest jarjar Posted September 30, 2007 cheers chaps checked everything over and now i seem to have fuel spark and power to the injectors after takin wiring apart and cleaning it but still no start a pal of mine has mentioned about it being a seal in the fuel pump allowing flow but no pressure or it being the cold start vave ? need to get it fixed asap driving my mrs's matiz is makin me lose the will to live Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
