I run an aftermarket 23.8 mm 405 T16 master cylinder in my 205 GTI.

It's a Cifam 202-222 and was listed as PMK474 (Lucas part number) on the invoice.

http://www.cifam.it/siti/catalogo/freno/mo...;codice=202-222

The 205 reservoir fits, and it needed no booster/servo adjustment.

IMO the 23.8 is too big for the 206 calipers, it made them almost digital on my car. on or off and no in between!

i'm running the 22.2 from the 306 xsi which is very good, not as long a peddle as with the 19mm but still progressive  again the 1.9 gti resevoir fits straight on. can't provide a part number, but the brake parts website is usually very helpful :D

Strange - mine feels great. I still almost go through the windscreen when I jump into a Mk4 Golf or some other late VAG thing.

I've just gone from 20 to 23.

Going back down to 22 I think, 23 is too much, makes the brakes feel wooden.
