Dodgy Brakes

Recommended Posts

john-melbourne

Hi Guys,

Just been out in the car and noticed the brakes behaving very strangly, one minute the brakes would be fine, but the next they pedal would go right to the floor without doing much braking, and come up very slowly? the only way to counter act this was as the pedal was going to the floor was release it and then brake again, which would then brake normally???

Anyone had this same problem? Or have a suggestion?

John

Fluid or just replace it.

Basically, if the pedal goes to the floor but you're not losing any noticeable amount of brake fluid (that would indicate a leak) then replace the MC as a matter of course. They're only about £35 for a brand new standard item, and that's a small price to pay for some confidence that the brakes will work when you press them!
