Headlamp Wiring - Those Yellow Blocks On The Front Panel

Recommended Posts

Leon

As most of you know, the 205 has 2 yellow "blocks" located either side - they are bolted to the front panel near the headlamp and often have plastic elasticated bags over them.

As far as I can work out, the one on the drivers side is a collection of earths

From my multimeter fiddlings the one on the passenger side appears to be a collection of lives

Is this correct?

Pictured is the one on the passenger side, which is the one I'm unsure about.

Any help appreciated!

They are earths.

In that case I will bolt them back to the front panel and try again with the meter - thanks

A few people on here have replaced them with ring terminals bolted to the chassis & lost the usual bad earth problems.

That's what I'm in the process of doing at the moment, rebuilding the lighting loom. Just wanted to be absolutely certain they were all earths first as the multimeter gave some odd readings initially (I was getting 12v readings from the yellow block...)
