I've lost some of my tools so I need to buy another. Going on memory I think its a T-55 torx socket I need. Can anyone tell me whether thats correct..

Just watch out for the Halfords socket bits, get a tight head bolt and you can seperate the torx bit from the socket drive it is mounted in!

a halfords one will have to do for now. If it breaks I'll keep swapping it till the job is done lol

Generally larger Hellfrauds Torx sockets are OK, although they are very brittle and the smaller sizes break with alarming regularity. I think I've only ever broken one T55 torx bit in about 15-20 sets of headbolts, so that's not a too bad a record...

My answer was take off the "socket" bit and put the remains into a suitable sized normal hex socket. Rather fiddly but won't break
