e30m3 0 Posted September 10, 2007 Does anyone know how big a job it is to fit the oiler cooler from a 1.9 on to a 1.6? and what parts would i need?
Anthony 1,003 Posted September 10, 2007 It's a simple enough job. Remove the oil filter, bolt on sandwich plate onto old oil filter thread, and screw oil filter onto sandwich plate. Mount the oil cooler in the radiator cowling, and then connect the pipes between there and the sandwich plate. Job done, and should take about 20 minutes. Whether there's any point is another matter entirely though, as in my experience the 1.9 oil cooler is pretty hopeless...
Rob_the_Sparky 9 Posted September 11, 2007 Just make sure you get new o-rings, or the orignials are in good nick. This is the main reason mine is running without, it leaked on re-fitting and as it seemed to serve little purpose it got junked.
