24seven 104 Posted September 8, 2007 I hate my 306's gearbox. Granted, for what it's designed for, it's great. Unfortunately i'd much rather it had a sporty feel like the 205 1.6 box. 1st is very short, at the limiter the drop in RPM from 1st to 2nd is well over 2000rpm, 2-3 and 3-4 are ok, maybe a little close and 5th is quite far again. Since I like the 205 1.6 box, and it fits the XU7, and I happen to have a 1.6 box in the garage, I was thinking I may be able to put that on, but then had second thoughts about the high RPM 5th gear cruising thing and thought perhaps I could make a hybrid to suit me. I've got the 1.6 ratios, but not the xu7j4 ones. anyone have them, or know where to find them? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Sandy 191 Posted September 9, 2007 I expect they are 1st 3.45:1 2nd 1.87:1 3rd 1.28:1 4th .97:1 5th 0.76:1 FDR will be 4.42:1, 4.54:1 (doubtful it's either of those if it feels tall), 3.78:1 or 3.95:1 (most likely). Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
