Not Getting A Switched Live At The Brown Multiplug?

Recommended Posts

TurboSam

Did a search but couldn't find much,

I'm trying to connect my GTi-6 loom to the original 205 loom at the brown multiplugs, but for some reason 2a on the 6pin brown multiplug isn't getting a switched live when the ignition is on? Although the blue 46b gets the full 12v when on the starting postition.

Is there a particular fuse or relay I should look for?

Thanks, Sam :D

The coil switched feed (2a) doesn't go through any fuse or relay.

Has your car got an immobiliser fitted or an old alarm which could be stopping the feed?

Graham.

Yes, the car has 2 immobilisers, one was deactivated but is still present somewhere behind the dash and the other seems to work ok (which stops the live going to the starter solenoid).. I'll have to look into it.. might mean taking the dash out though :D

Thanks for moving the thread to the correct place too.. B)
