chris205xs 0 Posted September 8, 2007 Just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction to getting some either brand new or second hand immaculate doors, for a project car waiting to go into painting, and just need two doors now, just need normal doors, not gti items
sonofsam 5 Posted September 8, 2007 Breakers yard? I picked up a pair of non GTI doors recently, the going rate wich is about £25 per door. Peugeot main stealer may still be able to get them, but I bet they are a pretty penny! Dont know if pattern part door's are available Or try an online breaker, as many of them will courier. chris205xs 0 Posted September 9, 2007 Im not sure of any online breakers that may specialise in 205s we've been to about 4 different breakers yards and tbh, all of the doors are either rotten or dented
sonofsam 5 Posted September 9, 2007 Yeah I know what you mean, alot of the doors I inspected where a bit dented. Managed to find two though of two different cars that where pretty much sound, one from a D reg I know a few online pug breakers - http://www.partsgateway.co.uk/my/mgps.my?S...mp;search1.y=10 http://www.northlondonmotors.co.uk/ Actually now I come to think about it, I did get a quote from partsgateway for two base model door's delievered, was around £150 . craig f90 0 Posted September 9, 2007 To buy a complete door from the dealer would be around £350!! genuine door skins would be £150ish. Im almost certain you can only buy pattern skins, not complete doors. When some clever idiot tried to drive through my car at a junction, i went straight to the dealer for a new tailgate the rrp was £250 . As they had one in stock which they had ordered 10 years previous, which was never collected i was sold it for £100 I didnt mind as it was payed by the insurance co. I did manage to get 2 309 3dr doors from the scrappy for a £10 a few little parking dents in them, fine with filler, high build primer and a block flat.
