My door's are sagging like a granny's spaniels at the moment, and it'll be handy to know where the wear occurs, and how easy the job is. I don't want to end up welding the door shut after screwing the job up and having to do a Starsky and Hutch to get in; especially not the sliding across the bonnet bit, as I'll probably go right through it and snag my McSquirter twins on the injection rail....anyway I digress... Super Josh 4 Posted September 29, 2007 I've found that if you catch them early enough then it's the pins that wear. Upto, and including phase 1.5 the pins are roll pins and so drifted in, pahse 2 has torx headed bolts that are much easier to change. Draper make a suitable drift set to remove the earlier pins or you could pay your local car body shop a visit and get them to do it. Draper door pin removal tool, part number 54585. Heat was required to remove 2 of the pins. The others punched out. I got them just in time and the pins had just wore. Made a good job with new ones in and I also changed the check straps when I was at it. Think it wasn't too bad a price from pug themselves for all the bits I needed.
