Guest PeteXS Posted September 6, 2007 Probably been posted before but the search function just brings up errors, apologies. Right, the bonnet is stuck, the bonnet pull is doing nothing. I've reached up behind the rad to try and pull the cable manually but that still does nothing. Any little tricks to get it open? Cheers in advance
Grim.Badger 15 Posted September 7, 2007 Sometimes they get stuck for no good reason, other times the cable has snapped. Try getting your fingers under the front of the bonnet and giving it a wiggle and a tug upwards and then try the cable pull again; that is unless you have no resistance at the handle in which case the cable has probably snapped. Once it's undone give it a clean and a grease.
Garry 1 Posted September 7, 2007 Try poking something between the slam panel and the bonnet to try and release the catch, I found a long drill bit was the tool of choice a couple of weeks ago. You will need to take the grill off though, which is bloted to the slam panel.
Jrod 7 Posted September 7, 2007 and the bolts are hidden by the bonnet?
Garry 1 Posted September 7, 2007 You just have to bend the bonnet a little to get at them.
