To The Left, To The Left

ok, i have done a search and trawled through the forum for almost 30 mins so now i have given up and decided that maybe no one else has had this prob. or if they have i cant find it or they havnt posted it up.

the problem:

i had new tyres put on and my tracking sorted, since then due to this prob i have had the tracking done again!

when you accelerate the steering wheels "strait forward" position is to the right, if that makes sence, so if i were to accellerate and keep the wheel dead strait i would go in an anti clockwise circle. then as soon as you come off the gas the car jerks back to standard steering. its quite worrying. and i want to fix it asap. any one shed any light on the matter? i have jakced the car up on stands and checked for play in both wheels and there is none.

4 things it could be;

worn wishbone bushes.

worn lower wishbone balljoint

worn track rod end.

lovalled balljoint hole in the hub.

Not the box on the left? :lol:

So what your saying, you go straight, off gas, apply throttle and the steering snatches left? From personal experience it tends to be wish bone bush realted or hubs.

Worth inspecting them. :blush:

I have had the same probs. i found it to be the wishbone bushes. jack the car up, get a crow bar and try to lever the joint where the wishbones join to the subframe. if they 'clunk' then they are worn. Its is a good urgrade to fit poly bushes, so if your keeping the car/abuse it, it may be worth upgrading anyway. :(

Ps, im in Bristol, what 205 do you have? prob seen you about. I have Miami GTI looks std ish apart from lowered.

100% avoud poly bushes, go to the dealers and ark for a lower arm bush kit, the peugeot bushes are so much better and stiffer than anything but the old GP N/A equivalents
