kanyeost 0 Posted September 1, 2007 Hi, I am about to fit some standard 205 GTI struts to a UK Rallye and was wondering what it would do to the ride height. I had originally heard it drops the XS by about 20mm and presumed it would be just a tiny bit more on the Rallye cos of its stoopid iron block. However the search throws up a post saying that in fact they raise the front of a TU engined car when compared to standard because of the front end being lighter than the GTI. Anyone done it and got a definitive answer? I'm not bothered about going low but I don't really want it to look like its doing a wheelie... (I'm only changing the struts not the subframes). Need to know if I need to mess about with lowering springs... thx.
Sandy 191 Posted September 1, 2007 It won't lower the Rallye noticeably, i've tried it.
