Fitting A Gti Instrument Pannel In A Base Model 205

I will be changing the loom to the one of a GTI. Can I just add the senders to my Engine (which is not a GTI) and connect them to the fuse box?

 

Does anyone know of any complications I might encounter so that i'd be prepared

job done! took me more time to put the dash back together than to replace the wiring and the pannel. In the the processe I snapped the spedometer cabel so i need to remove the clocks again to replace it once I get one from the scrappy.

 

Now i need to install the senders in the engine and wire them to the fuse box! That will probably be a job for my electrician!

 

BTW: the rev counter worked without installing anything!
