kevp's 205gti 0 Posted August 29, 2007 im going to do the clutch on my 1.9 205 gti as the release bearing is seized (i think) but just had a quick look and the push rod is worn pretty bad is this a common cause to not being able to disengage drive?
Richie-Van-GTi 74 2 Cars Posted August 29, 2007 A worn clutch release arm tends to just give either a stiff or sloppy feel to the clutch pedal. Im assuming tis is the part your refering to? If it is then its normally just the plastic bushes that are past their best. Pug still do these new and they only cost a few quid AFAIK:D
Stonesie 0 Posted August 29, 2007 (edited) Theyre under a tenner the pair, also get a new pin to fasten the clutch release arm to the shaft. The last 1 i did came out in 3 pieces Edited August 29, 2007 by Stonesie

The last 1 i did came out in 3 pieces nah its the rod that sits on the release arm onto the relay lever (bit where plasic grommet sits attached to cluth cable).
