kjd4000 0 Posted August 28, 2007 Hi guys playing around with my 205 (badly) lol on photo shop atm and was just wondering what you all thought? here are some rough pictures. I know the pics aren't great but i would these lights and would like to know what you think of those too, basically going for miami blue car, smoothed black trim, the different ft valance, grill, and angel eyes. before http://s238.photobucket.com/albums/ff51/kj...¤t=DSC00091.jpg http://s238.photobucket.com/albums/ff51/kj...¤t=P1000386.jpg After http://s238.photobucket.com/albums/ff51/kj...=DSC00091-1.gif http://s238.photobucket.com/albums/ff51/kj...1000386rear.jpg Cheers kieran

ashley peddle 3 Posted August 28, 2007 hate to side with the purists but please dont - in this case standard would be best... poor
kjd4000 0 Posted August 28, 2007 yeah i expected that, tbh there are too many "standard" 205 and "chav" 205s i wanted something a bit different, subtle and not over the top, something a bit deeper. not 20" chrome wheels, jap bodykit, 25000 pounds worth of sound system trolly handle spoiler or that s***. This doesnt mean i dont like standard 205s i think they are beautifull. Granted im not sure of the angeleyes i just wanted to freshen the front up a bit, but maybe a HID kit would do a better job. still after more opinions though. Thanks
matt-k 0 Posted August 28, 2007 Those lights would look awfull!!! The 205's really do look best in standard trim. The only thing i would suggest is a set of shiney new headlamps and re-black the trim as it makes a huge differance. There was also a car on here with an adapted front grill so the three bars meet in the middle with no peugeot badge, i thought that looked smart. Cheers, Matt
kjd4000 0 Posted August 28, 2007 yeah i like the de-badged grill too but hard to find and to make yourself. i wasnt too sure of the lights thats why i put the post on here i really cant imagine them on the car cheers for your thoughts
Pugnut 9 1 Cars Posted August 28, 2007 best way to freshen up the front of a 205 is to fit 2 new valeo headlights/indicators and a set of valeo driving lights . debadge the grill or not its up to you , they both look great . i'm guessing that over 50 percent of the forum have had the same plans as yourself or done the same(myself included). If you make it standard it will look better, gain you more respect, cost you less and the car will be worth more. but dont take my word for it though. its you're car and you do what you damned well like to it! Mikey S 29 1 Cars Posted August 28, 2007 (edited) definate no on those angel lights. they just look terrible imo. just keep it nice and simple, the valance is spot on imo, would look nice with a set of brake ducts in there. a nice auto bonnet with a few, small, tasteful stamped vents would be nice aswell. got to admit that a 3 bar grill would go well in there as well. Arahan 4 Posted August 28, 2007 I love that front bumper personally! Id have mine standard everywhere else with that front bumper!
kjd4000 0 Posted August 28, 2007 (edited) Auto bonnet is being collected this week which is good, the valance is spot on (and from a turbo technics car) lol, you are right and i was thinking brake ducts or black mesh, the holes are way too big for the driving lights. I would prefer the 3 bar grill without the badge i found a website that sells them for about 120 quid which i think is quite expensive for a grill. Arahan 4 Posted August 28, 2007 Yeah i really love that front! Where did you get it if you dont mind me asking? Ive got a 3 bar grille! Swap you for that bumper!
kjd4000 0 Posted August 28, 2007 lol nice try, found it on ebay and went straight to the bloke in southampton offered him 50 quid for it and it was mine!! well chuffed shame it came without the brake ducts but i wasnt too bothered as i got the valance. Is the grill for sale per chance??
Arahan 4 Posted August 28, 2007 (edited) Not really, it needs a little bit of work to make mint and I was going to keep it! If you've an offer in mind though feel free to PM me as this thread really isn't the place! Everyone has there price so they say! lol! EDIT: For spelling!! craig f90 0 Posted September 2, 2007 any more views thismorning? I have. your car is coming along nicley. There seems to be a new trend in european cars to look, well, Euro. Thanks to the VW community for euro style. Ive fitted angel eyes to my euro style 205. The thing to is not to make te car cluttered like the jap motors. Ive soothed out the recesses where the red trim once lived. you can use that as an option (time consuming & expensive, plastic fillers not cheap) or colour code red trim to body colour, or even use chrome trim inserts against the miami blue. Ive fitted french style plates to mine now. The amount of people who ask "is your car french?" Erm, "oui". 3 bar grilles rock, i want one, i tried making one and it turned out a bit, yuk. im sure Cybernk was gonna make them. Do a search. I had a larger tailgate spoiler on my 205 for a while, and it did just that. Spoil it. the factory one is best.

My trim all the way round is smooth and will be painted black to brake up the miami blue, still not decided on angel eyes 100% might just get some brighter lights or something. Also just bought a 3 bar grill it needs finishing but will look lovely! I also agree with the spoiler thing, i did kind of like an ecosse one but decided standard would be better and save me 300 quid which could be spent better elsewhere.
