Spiky 37 Posted August 26, 2007 we i just took my 205 beam off to fit my 309 beam (as quote's from this forum say it's a straight swap) well the mounting points are different width on the 309 beam to the 205, so how can it be a direct fit?? or am i missing something here??? as the reab bolkts are about 1 inch wider and the front ones are about the same, maybe more Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

jackherer 543 Posted August 26, 2007 With group a mounts you need to lever the beam across to match the holes on the car. With a 205 beam you need to bend outwards and a 309 beam you have to bend inwards. This is why Stew started selling the v.2 improved fit mounts that are more like the OE rubber bushes.
