DOH! :) Don't know WTF I was on! Doesn't make a difference which side either!

 

Undo and release track rod end and lower balljoint, release clip or tie from boot and pull outwards on hub to separate the cv joint (make sure the splined "cup@ section stays in the gearbox or you'll lose all the 'box oil) At this poin I usually wind tape around the tripod to stop the rollers and outer races from falling apart. Remove circlip from end of shaft and slide the tripod off the end of the shaft. gaitor can now be replaced, packed with new grease and reassembled.

 

There is a method using a cone tool to fit the gaitor over the tripod ( and shafts where the tripod can't be removed DIY) but I've not had the "pleasure" of these!
