Blish10 0 Posted August 15, 2007 Hi Does anyone know where I would be able to find details on all Bosch distributors, specifically degrees of advance at certain rpm? Im having problems and I think I need more advance. My vacuum advance is knackered so a new one of those is definately on the cards but I was wondering if a completely different dizzy would give me better advance at the lower rev range? Blish10 0 Posted August 15, 2007 Thanks Welshpug but i was hoping for a cheaper quick fix than that. Cheapo dizzys off egay, sort of thing (£5-£10). Theres a few on there of different part nos. but i wanted to know the degs/rpm of the different numbers before i bid. Or do you think H&H would know that sort of thing if i rang em? Andrwn8304 0 Posted August 17, 2007 Might be wrong here but I think the advance unit works automaticaly and theres no set range for it at certain rpm's. Autofive has Advance units for 1.6 and 1.9's, I changed mine last year and was a bit fiddly. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

welshpug 1,657 Posted August 21, 2007 That sounds expensive bnaah, send it off to the aforementioned H&H, thats exactly what they do, drop em a line and see what they can do for you, youll be surprised at the amount of torque and power that a properly setup dizzy can eek out of an engine.
