Just When I Thought It Was Going Well!

Hi guys,

I need a bit of sympathy here.

My PUG has had a lot of care, attention and cash spent on it in the last 3 or 4 months and I really was beginning to feel good about my baby. Running well and generally starting to let me really rip.

WRONG ! - Due to go over to Bromsgrove today (from Leamington) so checked tyre pressures, oil, water etc before I left. ( did think I needed a lot of water in the header tank - but so it's been hot). I got t'other side of Claverdon and she started to brew up a bit.Slowed down and got to Bromsgrove (My mates place), let it cool and checked the header again - took 3 litres - easy - OOOps.

Decide to try and get home as best I could. This is not good.

Check the lump when I get back - ticking like a bomb and is rather hot.

Head gasket - between 3 and 4 pot but on the outer face. I calls the guy who rebuilt the engine and say to him "sort this John" and he promises to send a trailer round to pick her up.

I'm still waiting for that one.WHY ME !!!!.

I know this serves no purpose but I feel for all the other guys who have been down this road.

There it's done and I've said it.

best wishes mates.

Dave
