driversdomainuk 8 Posted August 13, 2007 Hi Just a couple of unrelated questions I need help with please: 1. BE3 gearbox running a Tran-x plate type diff.......what gear oil should i use? 2. Will the lower engine mount & casing which attaches to the block on the 8v fit the Mi block. I only ask as I have a solid lower engine mount on my 8v engine and it would be good if I could just fit it to the MI block without having to have it pressed in or buy another one. Cheers. Richie-Van-GTi 71 2 Cars Posted August 13, 2007 1) I would guess you still use pug oil maybe someone else can confirm 2) mount is a direct fit
driversdomainuk 8 Posted August 13, 2007 "2) mount is a direct fit " Great - and the group N rubber (from BB&M) is stiff enough so the rocker does not knock against M/C..?
driversdomainuk 8 Posted August 13, 2007 as far as gear oil goes, I cant find any "performance" oils for 75w-80. However, DT do sell Miller CRX 75W-90 Would this be ok..?
driversdomainuk 8 Posted August 14, 2007 So would Miller CRX 75w90 be ok to use with my Tran-x'd BE3 box as the manual suggests 75w90 (with no lsd) Thanks
