Recommended Posts

Could someone please let me know if you need to have an odometer or tripmeter on your dash for your car to be road legal?

Thank you!

I believe its one of those grey areas. You dont need a working one for an mot as not tested (may need one in the car though?) but if stopped by the police there is the chance that they can find out it doesnt work and demand its fixed as the car wont be road worthy or something weird like that

I agree, i wish the police and VOSA would sort it out. I work at a MOT garage and its silly with things like numberplates... They can be fine for the test but the cops keep pulling the car over.
