I have a ph2 dash and have removed every thing under the hazard, fog and R,h,S. switch. I have however used a switch to turn the heaters off or on (no speed controle) if i can work out how to put a photo on i will.

I plan on putting mine all on switches for the same reasons, permanently set to windscreen and slight heat, i did really want to keep some way of adjusting them though, even if it made it difficult to do so, ie. leaving the cables hanging etc.

I ditched the lot, heater matrix etc an put a small window demister in from car builder solutions, just have one small toggle switch now which goes on warm, off, on cold. Less pipes to go wrong, loads lighter and very neat.

Pull it apart and i'm sure you will find a solution. The heat/direction work off cables, so you could leave them tucked away somewhere tidy. Won't look the best, but would be functional and an easy solution.

Maybe put a three way switch in for the fan? That way you can ditch the odd resistor thing, and have the fan fully off (quiet!), on low to keep things clear, or full to demist the screen when you first get in?
