My 1.6 Gti Gearbox Dont Have A Hole For

does that mean i got no chance of using it with my gti-6 enigine????

 

just looked on both my 1.9 box's and it has a lovely hole for it to fit

 

 

how fooking annoying is this

you may be able to drill and tap a hole there, depends how old the casing is, my 89 1.9 had the hole there and tapped for a TDC sender, it also had the holes for a BE3 clutch arm.

 

sure you want a 1.6 box on a gti6 though?

what wrong with a 1.6 box on gti-6, i was hoping for a rapid motor.,

 

 

ah well todays task is now to change the box's over again fooking cars...lol, was so looking to starting it too

if the casting has been made youll just need to drill the holes same as they did in the factory, if its not though then its easier to swap the box.

 

why not swap the bellhousing?

well i think it would be to much work and never work right..

 

 

so old box is now out, my old 1.9 box has been cleaned a a bit and is alomost back in

handy having a pc in the garage too...lol
