engine killer 6 Posted August 10, 2007 I have my gear change mechanism modified and would like to share it with you all. http://rides.webshots.com/photo/2192611240084130750TEYxAI this shows the different between TAS (top & bottom) and original. the bottom part of the lever is about 10mm longer (measured from the pivot point) and this gives a shorter throw. somehow if you look at the top TAS carefully you will see there is a small hole about 35mm above the pivot point, it will CRACK and this is why I have my second one sleeve into a stainless tube and made it longer (which offset the short throw purpose). http://rides.webshots.com/photo/2701635130084130750OCSsgp http://rides.webshots.com/photo/2307235060084130750OzHrAK extending the L-plate is always the best and cheapest solution for quickshift. you can see my L-plate has three holes to give adjustability. http://rides.webshots.com/photo/2200337260084130750OCWtEy http://rides.webshots.com/photo/2129228020084130750Vtiujp http://rides.webshots.com/photo/2549215260084130750gvzKso since the lever is extended, the knob is now much closer to the steering wheel and allows the time of my left hand leaving the steering wheel shorter during gearchange and i do not have to lean forward at all (with my short arm). Super Josh 4 Posted August 10, 2007 That looks good What are the switches for on your dash? Are the two on the right for front and rear fog lights? Is that standard for a HK model? I assume that the far left is for the AC? The UK models actually have the letters 'AC' on the switch. I like the 'one touch' window switches too Josh

engine killer 6 Posted August 14, 2007 yeah i've got a similar set up, love the quick quick shift third doesn't like it much tho the quick quick shift can easily be achieved by extending the L-plate about 1 1/2" to 2". but 2" extention will just make your shift very unclear/unprecise, i have tried but i just did not like it at all.
