willxs 0 Posted August 9, 2007 comes off with the injectors part of the loom, but has about half a meter length. These two? come off with an earthing point. White, 3 pin plug, not to far away from the ecu plug. theres also a yellow 2 pin plug coming from the back of the block, whats that? also, as im using the gti-6 manifold, what do i do with this? (sorry for the poor image) last one (i think) there seems to be what looks like a vacuum pipe(?) coming off the part with the stat housing on it. where does that go too? Any help much appreciated!!! Cheers, Will
welshpug 1,655 Posted August 9, 2007 right, unsure about 1, just pull the insulation away and read the wire numbers off. 2 is the ignition amps, bolted to the inner wing. 3 is the TDC sensor, it will only fit that plug so try it, 4 is the AVAC system solenoid, if it works and your'e using a gti6 manifold send it to meeee! :lol
willxs 0 Posted August 9, 2007 will swap you it for a couple of ignition amps
willxs 0 Posted August 10, 2007 i found the tds 3 pin white plug, the one in the previous picture connects to this, (see pic) and i cant remember where about this bolts onto? Cheers, Will
Mikey G 3 Posted August 10, 2007 i found the tds 3 pin white plug, the one in the previous picture connects to this, (see pic) and i cant remember where about this bolts onto? Cheers, Will Thats the knock sensor and is usually bolted to the front of the block in the middle.

welshpug 1,655 Posted August 13, 2007 no they're not!!! wasted spark and dizzy AMPs are different
Miles 331 1 Cars Posted August 13, 2007 Thats not the knock sensor wiring, I'm 99% sure from my very bad memory it's a sheided cable like the TDC one and should be green also. As W/P has said the Jetronic 205's use a MTR01 amp and the 2.0 S16, Turbo & ZX Volcane's use a different Amp, Think it's the MTR 04 but I can check this tomorrow
willxs 0 Posted August 13, 2007 well that green sensor hasnt anywhere to go now as i remembered the plugs go elsewhere Think ive got most of them sorted now, thanks the only one remaining is the yellow 2 pin coming from a sensor round the back of the block, but ive nothing to plug it into on the loom currently on the look out for 2 of those amps if anyone has any?? Cheers very much! Will
Mikey G 3 Posted August 13, 2007 Yellow 2 pin on the back of the block is for the oil level sensor. If you dont have one dont worry about it.
willxs 0 Posted August 13, 2007 ahhh, cheers! seems weird to not have one with it being an S16 loom though? nevermind Cheers, Will
Mikey G 3 Posted August 13, 2007 Some cars had it, others didnt. The 205 doesnt anyway so aslong as the hole in the block is blanked (just below the back of the head on the block near the gearbox end pointing down into the sump)
willxs 0 Posted August 13, 2007 i'll just probably leave it then, either that or just cut the plug off. saves messing about i guess. where does the vacuum pipe one the end of the cam go to? same pipe as what the servo pump uses, just cant find anywhere for it? i assume its not used when using the '6 inlet? Alastairh 47 Posted August 15, 2007 Strange that about the amps then. Dragged out the amps that i ran on my brothers S16 lump that worked fine and they're MTR 04. Alastair
