Car Pulls To Left Under Heavy Braking.

Recommended Posts

DanS1982

Had the car out on its first track day on sunday since fitted the new brakes, which performed very well!

Apart from under heavy braking the car would sway to the left quite severely - which it didn't do with the std front brakes fitted.

Any ideas as to what causes this please?

Cheers,

Dan

Assuming you bled the system corectly? Usually a siezed caliper piston, sliders or collapsed hose. Try squeezing the piston back. If its stuck, crack off the bleed nipple. If it then squeezes back in, you know you've a fault up to the caliper. If it doesnt, you know you've a caliper/slider fault.

Cheers, I will check that. The pistons in the calipers were working fine before they went on the car.

I had this and the right hand front caliper was not disengaging or engaging properly, ceased piston.

but its worth having a really good bleed of the system.

If my tracking was out would this also cause the problem?
