Renault / 405 T16 Master Cylinder In 205

Recommended Posts

I've seen a lot of questions/debate about 406/306 master cylinders so just thought I'd throw a spanner in the works...

I'm running one of these 23.8 mm master cylinders in my 205 GTI with 206/306 Bosch calipers and 266 mm rotors. It went straight on with no servo adjustment required, and the 205 reservoir fits. Pedal is high and firm and doesn't feel as 'assisted' as the stock 205 cylinder.

The link shows applications and there's a link on that page to crossover part numbers (or adaptable codes of correspondences ).

Might be of interest to some of you.

same as the calipers on MY zx! (and my 405 come to think of it) but i hazard a guess at at least 200 kilos more kerbweight! ( just under 1150kgs :) )
