richosabroard 0 Posted August 8, 2007 I am trying to remove my front bumper to repair some body damage and can't get the sides to come off.how do you release the side pieces?
willxs 0 Posted August 11, 2007 the front bumpers are held on by 4 bolts iirc. the two at the sides are on the inside of the wing. you should have a support bar going from the inside arch to the inner wing which will where the bolt from the bumper goes to. 9/10 there to rusted and break or round off. along with the support bars, they normally fall to pieces to. j_turnell 137 3 Cars Posted August 12, 2007 If they are the original bolts they won't come off, far easier just to drill them off and get a new fixing kit.
Rupertfinch 6 Posted August 15, 2007 Check that some lazy bugger hasn't siliconed it. I had this, plus some random screws in several parts of my bumper - lost the bap, then angle grinded it! Very satisfying, but cost me a new bumper, still the old one had gone crappy.
