AdamP 0 Posted August 4, 2007 Has anyone got any ideas on the best way to align the clutch on the flywheel? My dad's clutch alignment tool is too big for the centre spline (typical ehh) so what's the next best way? Adam
Rob Thomson 6 Posted August 4, 2007 Do it by eye, it'll probably be close enough.
Sandy 191 Posted August 4, 2007 Deep socket to fit the crank, with tape around to fit the plate.
AdamP 0 Posted August 5, 2007 Deep socket to fit the crank, with tape around to fit the plate. In the end I got a screwdriver, found a socket that was a tight fit in the plate and on the screwdriver and taped up the end of the screwdriver to fit the crank

wardy18 33 1 Cars Posted September 16, 2007 ive always used a similar idea to Sandy309, use a 1/2 " extension bar (one end fits perfect in the hole) then wrap some insulation tape to make the bar the same thickness as the clutch plate perfect tool!!
