GLPoomobile 958 Posted July 30, 2007 All my injector plugs on my loom are a mess, as in broken. They aren't a problem (yet) but one of them is only held on with dirt! I don't want to remove the whole loom and replace it, so I was wondering if you can just replace the plugs. Not sure I'd trust myself to do it as my wiring skills have not yet surpassed the level of shoddy amateur, but if it's something that can be done them I'm guessing that one of our friendly forum specialists will be able to do it
Richie-Van-GTi 74 2 Cars Posted July 30, 2007 very simple to do, just cut wires and crimp/solder the new ones in with plugs already attached from another loom.
welshpug 1,666 Posted July 30, 2007 I'm sure these would do the trick, though you would need a set of ratchet crimps. http://www.simtekuk.co.uk/10271/info.php?p...ch=&sought= they come in black blue grey yellow and brown. Simtek do 5% for 205gtidrivers just cut the 4 wires out and connect 4 new lengths to the single feed (twice over) I may need to do the same thing as the wires on my Mp3.1 loom have gone to pieces but the plugs are fine
sonofsam 5 Posted July 30, 2007 Good topic Guys, need to do this too at some point.
GLPoomobile 958 Posted August 5, 2007 (edited) Can anyone confirm for definate that the above illustrated JuniorPower Timer connectors will fit the standard injectors? Edited August 5, 2007 by GLPoomobile
Miles 331 1 Cars Posted August 5, 2007 In theory all Black, Blue etc should only fit that sensor hense the colour code, But they look like the ones to me after having done a complete loom today

Sandy 191 Posted August 6, 2007 I use JPT's for all, sometimes you need to trim any extra tags off the male side (eg 106 injector sub looms), but not injectors themselves.
GLPoomobile 958 Posted August 6, 2007 Thanks everyone. This forum is such a great educational tool I can't imagine I'd ever learn this type of stuff from some of the other 'chavvy' car forums . Can't believe it's all for free. Now, if only Cybernck could get the bloody thing running at proper speed again
