DaveK 0 Posted July 28, 2007 When my key is out the ignition the fuel pump is continually on. However when i put the immobiliser in the slot it stops. Basically its on unless the immobiliser key is in. Just pulled the battery terminal off atm Im thinking Tachy relay is naffed, had a quick look under the dash and it looks like the tachy relay has vanished and been replaced with a standard relay Ive got a known good tachy so should i just try rewiring up the orginal tachy relay instead of replacing the bodged one? Cheers, Dave
205007 12 Posted July 28, 2007 same problem here i have noticed it on my topaz, the fuel regulator is just directing all fuel back to the tank and the pump flattens the battery unless i remove the battery connection
j_turnell 137 3 Cars Posted July 30, 2007 This happened to me last week, replaced the relay with a spare, works fine now, it must just get too hot and hard wire itself on.
