kaich 6 1 Cars Posted July 28, 2007 I have a D6B engine 8v on my 205 with a LU2 Bosh ECU I saw in this forum that there is a lot of choiche about ECU (emerald, motronic, ecc) for my engine what is the best choiche? thanks cheers
Richie-Van-GTi 71 2 Cars Posted July 28, 2007 for a standard engine your best just using the standard ECU, if you have made modifications then any aftermarket ecu will do the job, best option is to choose one that you can have mapped locally by a reputable person. You would be best speaking to people in and around Padua to see what they are using and where it was mapped to get a few comparisons on prices and available services for it. You could always use a megasquirt self build as its cheaper and easier to map yourself.

Been visiting Padova a few times cause we sell Varisco pumps in Sweden, and i can imagine you´ll have a hardtime finding petrolengines there, tons of diesels... But look around here at the forum, you have many other 16V choices then the XU9J4, some XU10:s and XU7:s also that would give your car a nice boost if setup correctly and they fit "almost" straight down into the car. snillet 1 Posted August 3, 2007 OT about your sign, why your cars hate volvo? Because i drive it But seriously, you shouldn´t get to hung up on what engine if they´re hard to find there, just grab a 16valve XU engine and work with it, they all fit in the car "more or less".
