No not unless changing the hole injection system or you will get over fuelling or be running lean depending on what you are using on what car.

But the plugs are the same yes.

I,m putting a 1.9 in my 1.6 but the 1.9 has the coil on the inletmaifold so i'm going to use the 1.6 coil and the 1.9 injectors

Hi !

I don't know which injectors have 1.6 engine  but they are black or green color ..

In 1.9 engines I've found always yellow injectors but of different flow !

end num. :

702 - 185cc flow

762 - 214cc flow

As sad above connectors for the injectors are the same on 1.6 and 1.9 engine loom but injector flows are different , i can advice you that you read the numbers on the injectors and go and look in the table of the injector flow (you can find this tables on the net. ...) . however if you fit an 1.6 engine injector in 1.9 engine it can go lean me thinks because 1.6 injectors haves lower flow than 1.9 injectors (I'm not sure , better check that by injector numbers and in the flow table for bosch injectors .. I've posted some links of injector flow tables few weeks before in one post so try search for that post , you have some other info. in that post about injectors .. )

Cheers !

Damir

Hi !

No probs  , if you are fitting 1.9 engine I've found these bosch yellow injectors - 762 , the best for this engine , but of course with a 1.9 ECU and 1.9 AFM , this is a must if you are doing that conversion from 1.6 car (engine management) to 1.9 car/engine ..

I've experimented a bit with various injectors because i have modified engine and i was looking at the best injector for my engine (was having problems with too lean mixture..) and found that this 762 yellows work the best (with a little more fuel pressure up via adjustable FSE boost valve , but for your standard 1.9 engine that wouldn't be necessary and you shouldn't do that on standard engine , just give them a good clean on ultrasonic machine then check them for flow and balance them so that each injector flow the same amount of fuel ..)

Regards !

Damir

You'll be fine doing it that way. Just make sure you use the 1.9 AFM, Dizzy and ECU and injectors and it'll all work okay :D
