Hole In The Head

Recommended Posts

Hi all. While replacing the seal on my cam shaft (timing belt end) i found a hole in to the water ways. The oil and water have not been mixing and the water has not been leaking. the problem i had with the engine was that it was leaking oil from what looked like everywhere i was thinking over pressure dew to blocked oil breathers or the head gasgit as i had just replaced it (first time i done one).

He's probably referring to that hole on 8v heads under the camshaft seal, that is apparentlt normal and found on all 8v heads (at least what I was told when I found mine).

It's a nasty shape and looks like a chunk has cracked and come off, but as above, I was told it was supposed to be there!
