Richie-Van-GTi 74 2 Cars Posted July 18, 2007 how do you adjust the servo bar? sorry bit of a noob question but Ive never done it before and with the new 23mm cylinder theres a good chunk of travel that feels 'free'. Old 23mm cylinder was fantastic though
oli-pug 6 2 Cars Posted July 18, 2007 whip off the mc and you will see a threaded servo rod with a locknut on it. crack this off and unwind or wind it in to adjust the travel mate.
futura 3 Posted August 4, 2007 I have just taken the MC out and here is what I find: No locking nut, just a pretty loose rod (normal?) that I can spin around itself but it doesn't seem to be adjusting. Any ideas how to adjust this bloody rod, my pedal has dead travel at the start, which means when I first press it I have to bring the rod in contact with the MC and only then it starts braking, very annoying! Normski 1 Posted August 4, 2007 I've just done this not so long ago. Hold the brake pedal down with something, so the rod is moved out. You can then grip it with mole grips and turn the nut. Release the pedal and measure the distance between the servo flange and the nut. As std it should be between 22.2mm and 22.4mm. I set mine to 22.2mm to get the pedal 'high'. futura 3 Posted August 4, 2007 Thanks Normski, but I still can't see where the nut is?
Normski 1 Posted August 6, 2007 I can't quite see on your pics, but on mine the tip of the rod has a hex around it. I had to grip the rod a cm or 2 below this to stop the rod from rotating so the nut could be adjusted.
