dodsworth_gti 11 Posted July 17, 2007 hi,could some one tell me if this is right please as im a tad worried about it on my mi16 this is might i add normal everyday use it sits on 2nd bar oil oil temp guage,slight foot down for a short amount of time,it goe's up to 3rd bar,on track at fcs,it was sat at 4th bar and rising so kept her down a little on the revs as i didnt think it was right at all,and crept up to 4 and a half at one point and thaqts when i thought no way and comeof the track. should it do this?? would fitting a mocal oil cooler or soemthing help?? thanks ben Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Anthony 1,003 Posted July 17, 2007 Doesn't sound abnormal to me - Mi oil temp is usually around a third on the road and half to two-thirds on track in my experience No real reason to worry in my opinion until the oil pressure starts to drop off badly or the gauge is above about two-thirds, but if you're planning on regular trackdays then an oil cooler would probably be a good investment. For what it's worth, I didn't have any issues with oil temperature at FCS (I think you were in the 12.30-13.00 session as well weren't you?) but was having big problems the following day at Cadwell with the oil temp basically being on the end of the guage Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
