Richie-Van-GTi 71 2 Cars Posted July 17, 2007 which part of the mount, the actual rubber? Just tap it round with a hammer and chisel to remove it and slot a new one back in its place.
welshpug 1,657 Posted July 17, 2007 make one of these - it makes removing and installing the mounting so much easier
pugbliss 0 Posted July 17, 2007 its the top nount nut ive rounded off, so i havent even got to the rubber bit yet? still need help
WildCards 0 Posted July 17, 2007 Hammer a slightly smaller socket onto the nut, undo and prise the socket off the nut, it's easier if you have a vice.
Jrod 7 Posted July 17, 2007 (edited) Ebay item number: 170131947479 I've never had a nut these can't remove. Even very stubborn locking wheel bolts. Edited July 17, 2007 by Jrod
Peetypug 5 Posted July 17, 2007 buy a slightly smaller socket from halfords (it has to be here ) hammer it on and it will come off the reason it has to be halfords is that thier sockets are all under guarantee (a mobile wheel fitter took my old locking nuts off and told me about this) if it breaks take it back and get your money back if not you have a socket to use again

DaveK 0 Posted July 18, 2007 is it the mount bolt that goes though into the top mount rubber? If so you could always just angle grind or hacksaw it off and replace the mount. You will need to replace the mount anyways if the bolts are knackered?oops didnt read you first post propery, just grind it off
Jrod 7 Posted July 18, 2007 Buy the proper kit like I said above ^
