Veiwing A Second Hand Beam

im looking at a beam from a 1.6 on monday

how can i check it aint seized(sp?) when it aint on the car?

It doesnt take long at all if it comes apart easily, if its off the car you can get it apart with an M12 x 1.5 bolt, 13mm and 19mm spanner, a T45 torx bit, a large screwdriver and a lump/copper hammer.

you could try turning the beam upside down and standing on the arms. its not the best way of doing it as who knows if its badly cambered or not, you wont be able to tell until its on the car.
