Suspension/driveshaft Problem?

Recommended Posts

Guest donny206

Hi, this is actually on my 206 not my Gti,

I have just put some new suspension on it and after test driving it im getting a vibration, well more the the car wobbling to be honest, i can feel it alot through the gear stick and the whole car seems to shake about,

any ideas what could be wrong, could a drive shaft cause this?, there is no knocking noise, no pulling to any side and no loss is power?

Cheers for any help

Wheel bolts done up tight? A friend of mine had this at a sprint, he was adamant they were done up but he checked them a few days later and they were loose....I was smug heh

Either that of you have unsettled a driveshaft that was on its way out. That happened to me before

I will double check that but i know for sure there all tight when i dropped it, but the vibrating seems to go away when you clutch in

Nah it not that it happens at low speeds and, there hasn't been anything done to the wheel since it was taken off and was absolutely fine before

Unrelated to the suspension, but mine did this when the g/box bolts came loose.
