Recommended Posts

hi, i had my MI running on webers the other day and one of the varbs (both are second hand) was overfueling and even leaking fuel into the carb choke when the engine is off

Any ideas?

Thanks

do webers use a float bowl? if they do then Id suspect that blowing a seal on the valve. If not then probably a needle stuck open or bad jetting.

As above, check the drop on the floats, that the fuel pressure is within acceptable limits (2.5 to 3.5 psi IIRC), and that the needles are moving freely.
