eob 7 Posted July 11, 2007 Because I'm a working class hero, I'm just getting ready to re-assemble my rear beam. Bearings I can get from GSF, grease nipples from my local agri supply store, but I'm stuck for two parts: 1. Beam seals for the end of the beams, where, how much, part numbers? 2. Bleed nipples for my brakes! Anyone?
welshpug 1,657 Posted July 11, 2007 peugeot for the rear beam seals there is a few posts in the forum detailing the part numbers. should be able to get a bleed nipple from any good brake parts supplier.
pug_ham 244 3 Cars Posted July 12, 2007 Don't get the bearings from GSF, all the GSF bearings I've seen have had fewer rollers in than the oe pug ones so they wear the radius arm shafts faster. I always use genuine Pug bits for any beam refurb even though I can get a refurb kit for less (but not much) from my local motor factors but iirc it didn't include the seals. Graham. eob 7 Posted July 12, 2007 I'm in Ireland (unfortunately) which means my local Peugeot dealership will want a bl0wjob for those rear bearings/seals, any dealership you guys can recommend in the UK?
pug_ham 244 3 Cars Posted July 13, 2007 The bearings aren't 205/ 309 specific afaik so they shouldn't be that hard for them to source. My local dealers can get all the bearings etc usually next day. Graham.
welshpug 1,657 Posted July 13, 2007 They're the same as 306 seals, and Xsara, so you can get them from Citroen as well.
