jim205GTI 3 Posted July 7, 2007 Switched on the ignition and got no battery light..... so thought mmm duff alternator so tried another s/h one. Today go to turn it over and no bloody battery light again ...... i know it's not the wiring as i earthed the lead to the block and the light came on..... Two bloody alternators in two months..... knew i should have kept the one of the 1.9 engine .... Unless of course its a weak battery but then i think should still get a faint light....... gti_al 1 Posted July 8, 2007 Me too... finished the mi swap, put everything back in, then pulled it apart to get the alternator out.
