Headlight Adjuster

Can someone please tell me if there is an easy way to reconnect the adjuster arm from the headlight, back to the little ball on the end of the adjuster screw.

 

I've had the light in and out so many times now I've lost count.

bend a length of stiff wire in half, hook it round the plastic arm and use it to pull the socket back onto the ball

if you pop the inner side in first, then hook the thingy onto the ball with a finger, then put it into place by the indicator, seems to work best for me (you may find is makes it a lot easier if you remove the grille)

The way I do it is.

 

*Plug in the headlight and sidelight

 

*With the light hanging out get your fingers in around the adjuster and pull it sharply up onto the ball joint.

 

*Clip the other side into its metal spring

I do it the same way as Ed. It's really easy to do whilst the headlight is still hanging out.

Mmm try telling my fingers that Hahaha i managed it somehow , after a light bout of swearing

Finally sorted both lights using a bit of wire as suggested by hengti did try the other ways, but that worked best for me.

 

Obviously a bit of a wuss in the finger department

 

you may find it makes it a lot easier if you remove the grille

Forgot to do that in my hurry to get it done, Result: one superglued indicator
