Is My Sad Missing/whats This Plug For

Took AFM off and assuming the SAD is just underneath but can't see it and what is this random plug for

that'll be the TDC sensor, its only for diagnostic purposes on Jetronic equipped engines, your SAD will be below the block with the blue sender screwed into it in the first picture.

its just a diagnostic plug, dont worrk about it.

be more concerned where the sad has gone

actually, I learned something from a friend about the SAD hoses when i was looking at his 1.6 rally car yesterday, and from what he said yours is an early phase 1 car, as I can see a metal pipe on top of the gearbox, this is the SAD pipe that goes from the valve to the bottom of the Intake plenum.

 

it is in there!! just berried under everything!

can't be the blue plug that is connected to the heater

 

Should there be plugs going to the sad and what would they look like so i can atleast try to find the plug

find the pipe that connects to the underside of the inlet manifold . on the other end of that pipe will be the sad.

yea think it is burried under all that how the hell do i remove it or get at ithow many pipes should be coming from thr underside of the plengium chamber

as Pugnut said /\ and no-one said the blue plug is the SAD, its directly above the SAD though.

 

the SAD has a black plug identical to the blue one pictured.

WELSHPUG sorry about that i was getting the missus to write why i was fiddeling with the motor and got our wires crossed do appologise :D

2 x 10mm bolts thats all that holds it in place
