Ecu Differences

right, i tried to search for this but i must be looking in the wrong place

 

if its been covered could somebody direct me to it please?

 

is there any difference between the ECU's from a phase 1, phase 1.5 and phase 2 1.9 gti?

 

can they all be chipped?

 

what year was the phase 1.5 introduced?

The 1.9 GTI ECUs are all the same until the cat models came out in 92/93.

 

The non-cat ECUs aren't digitial, so they can't be chipped. Well, not in the normal sense anyway.
