A Set Of Wheels Change...

Recommended Posts

Guest stdtbeast

Howdy,

Right, I have a 1994 Stdt and want to pop the 1.9 15'' Speedlines on it. Trouble is, isn't this going to make it ride rather much higher? :) How do I solve this? Do I put some different springs on the current shocks, buy adjustable shocks all round, or are there any other options out there?

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers,

J.

putting different wheels on it will not alter the ride height, as they have the same overall diameter.

indeed cybernck, but they are gti alloys...

stick to 185 55 15", or if you must 195 50 and you'll find no problems there, as for the ride height you could lower it 25mm and it'll look instantly like a gti rather than something on stilts (tractor  )

it may also look higher due to the lower sidewall height, but thats just an optical illusion

enjoy :D

Not really tbh, 195/50 R15 are cheaper than 45's so that's one plus pont, and unless You were to slam it like 50mm, then You won't have any catching at all as they are the correct offset for the car.
