Peetypug 5 Posted June 25, 2007 (edited) i've got to get my rear beam rebuilt anybody know of a place that will do it for me in the stoke/uttoxeter/stockport areas? would a rebuilt 1.6 fit? just swap the disks and calipers? Pugnut 9 1 Cars Posted June 25, 2007 i've got to get my rear beam rebuilt anybody know of a place that will do it for me in the stoke/uttoxeter/stockport areas? would a rebuilt 1.6 fit? just swap the disks and calipers? the disks will fit a 1.6 beam but its a bit more to swap than just the discs/calipers , you need the complete hub, stub axles and caliper carriers all of which you have on the 1.9. not sure about the arb/torsion bars also but these can be swapped over too. Peetypug 5 Posted June 25, 2007 if i'm being totally honest im being lazy! i could do it myself as i have a spare beam at the inlaws farm and i know there's a good rebuild guide on here. i dont plan on finishing it till just before FCS2008 thats my deadline. i've got a few weeks off soon so might just try to rebuild it then unless the wife has something better for me to do! (make the drive wider, make the patio bigger, build a wall and run everytime she rings her bell!!!) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
