welshpug 1,657 Posted June 21, 2007 right then, these arent 100% accurate to the MM but it gives people an idea of the dimensions. rear bush bolt spacing. 306, in car (forgot to take into account the offset bushes, 306 tube off the car was totally bare!) 950mm 309 = 905mm (on the beam itself) distance between rear bush stud and front mounting stud 306, 305mm and 295mm (306 uses offset mountings for passive rear steer) 309, 310mm front mounting stud spacing is 60mm in both cases. distance between front mounting inner studs, 306 = 905 309 = 825 one thing I noticed is that the crossmember brackets would fit either beam, though I didnt measure these in detail, but the spacing between these is 306 = 890mm 309 = 840mm, 205 800mm. so it will fit under there but being 90mm wider it'd be rather too wide? M_R_205 5 1 Cars Posted June 21, 2007 (edited) thanks alot for the measurements incredibly useful i could easily make an ofset solid mount to for the back of the beam as its only a few mm i need to gain, the problem would be the front mount with the two studs, i could probably get my mate keith to weld up and ofset mount again to fit in the standard holes, so on the front mount i need to gain 40mm each side or so and on the rear mount i need to gain 22.5mm on each side can you do me another huge favour? send me a pic of the front and rear mounts of the 306 beam, or are they exactly the same as the 205 ones? think il go by myself a 306 beam, cant be that hard to fit Edited June 21, 2007 by M_R_205 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
welshpug 1,657 Posted June 21, 2007 can do, it'll be Monday afternoon now though as I'm away for the weekend from tomorrow morning. the rear mount is basically identical in construction, but the outer stud on the front mounting is 10mm further towards the front of the car than the inner one. the only problem is that you have to use the 306's front mountings as the 205 ones fit to the tube whereas the 306 ones fit on the same bolts are the brackets.
